'Pushing feet apart when standing in kamae – how counter-pressure made sense, eventually'


'Pushing the floorboards apart in kamae'. I have heard this phrase in my beginner years and honestly, have forgotten all about it until I came across this article and realized that the 'taut rubberband' analogy that I follow is somewhat similar in application.

Another interesting point of this article is to cultivate the good habit of writing down insights in order to revisit them later. Some concepts/techniques may make more sense after a period of maturation.
